The princess mostly values and cares for is the man, the door he opens and how peaple see her as royalty.
New and improved sentence-
In the book the lady or the tiger by Frank Stockson the princess valued the love of her life (the man). Her love ended in trial because of the king that did not like him; so he had to pick between two doors (lady or tiger). She cared about what door he opens but also cared about how she was seen as royalty.

I would say just add a little bit more... explain the title of the story, and the author, then you can explain... then i think you've got it
