Reflecting Upon Writing?

i larned that even though you want your reader to be informed dont try and cram everything into your tpic sentence or else it will be to long

The princess values her life the most,and all she cares about is herself, if she cant have something,(like the man), no one will.


I learned that a topic sentence has to be one sentence. Before i thought it could be two or three.

In the short story "The Lady or the Tiger" the princess most values having a relationship with this man. She does not want anyone with him but her, even if this means death for him.

In "The Lady or the Tiger" a semi-barbaric princess is forced to choose her lovers fate. He could be eaten alive by a tiger or married to a beautiful woman just by picking a door. Considering the princess is very jealous of the woman that was behind the "lucky" door the princess was more likely to pick the door with the tiger.

What the princess most values is that she can be with the man she wants to be with and that no one else can have him

Princesses are looked upon as royal, respected, and valuable. The princess in "The Lady or the Tiger" most values herself because she would rather see her lover eaten alive then watch him be married to another girl.

This princess, like her father, is semi-barbaric which also contributes to her vile decision.

What I learned:
I learned that it is always acceptable to use more detail.

The princess values the love of her life "the man". She wants to be with him but she cant, he either dies from the tiger or lives and gets married to the woman that the princess hates.

In the short story The Lady or The Tiger? by frank Stockton the princess values her pride the most because if the lover was married to the girl it would be an insult to her and she often dreamed what she would feel like to have to watch the ceremony.

in the story "The lady or the tiger" a man accused of loving a princess is sentanced to choose between two doors. One containing a tiger the second containing a woman that if chosen the man will have to marry. once in the arena the man looks towards the princess and the princess gives him what door to pick. sence she values her love with the man the most she told him to pick the door with the tiger.

I learned its ok to not know what you learned.

Princess's values

The Princess had two greatest values about her decision. One was her lover that was being sent in the kings arena, and the other is if she really want him to be with another women or have a brutal death.

REVISED: In the story, "The Lady or the Tiger," the princess values her own happiness more then seeing her lover belong to someone else.

What i learned from the comments is to just have more of a simple sentence instead of having everything cramped and trying to fit it all into one sentence.

In the Lady Or The Tiger, the princess most values her lover and this is shown by the way she is acting about the odds of him dying or being with someone else.


In the story " The Lady Or The Tiger," I think the princess only values her own happiness because she would rather her lover die than be with somone else.

I learned that even the people we love can turn on us and want us to die.

In the "Lady or the Tiger" by Frank Stocton, the princess most values love because she cares about her lover and wants him to be happy and not any harm wished upon him.

Revised: The princess most values love because she cares about her love, and if any harm was wished upon him she would be devastated because when you truly love someone you would rather them be happy than dead.

I learned that a topic sentence is not supposed to summarize the story, and that you don't want to just state what the paragraph is about, you want to add detail, thoughts, and feelings.

The princess values trust the most because she knew that her lover would trust her to guide him to the correct door.


Revised; The slightly barbaric princess values trust the most because she knew that her condemned loved would trust her to guide him to the better of the two fates.


I learned that i should not just summarize the story, but i should also tell my thoughts about it so it can be more detailed. I also need to have a very interesting opening line to pull readers into my story.

In the short story The Lady or the Tiger the princess values many things, but I believe the thing she values most is her lover.

Revised: In the short story The Lady or the Tiger the princess could value justice, her father,or her lover, but the thing she values most? Her lover.

What I learned: From the comments I didn't really learn much. Sorry but they were just complements and questions nothing too helpful. but thanks for the input.

In the story The Lady and the tiger, a princess makes a choice between life or love; her love was more important because she could not stand not being with her love.


Revised: In the story The Lady and tiger a semi-barbaric princess has to make the decision between a live and her personal love; her love was more important to her, she couldn't stand being separated from her love.

What I learned: I learned that I needed to clarify a bit more than what I had originally. I also have to put a few more small words in my sentences like: a, and, to, or but.

The princess values the power of a woman's will because she had brought the secret to the prince and who was behind the door, the lady or the tiger?

In the short story, "The Lady or the Tiger" the princess values her instinct because even though opened the door with the tiger here, she couldn't stand the prince with another women.


What did i learn?

I learned that its okay not to learn, because i did not learn anything.
