  2. This semester I have learned multiple types of sentences... like complex, compound, simple and compound/complex. In my uniform paragraph I now know the "boring" verbs (is am are was were be been being). I also know the 6+1 traits taught me different ways to use creativity or writting it as a letter, or find small topics to write on ect. this semester I have learned a lot!

  5. I have learned a handful about sentence structures. They help enhance your reading with a variety of sentence types, so your reader doesn't get bored. I've also learned from the 6+1 Traits how to organize my writing, and write about topics that people will want to read. get rid of deadwood, write small, word choice, and focus on one key point are things that have really stuck in my brain. My uniform paragraph has changed drastically because of the things I have learned in class. Even though editing is a pain for me to do, it has already helped me become a much better writer.

  6. The 6+1 traits helped me a lot with my writing, not just in English, but in all of my classes. Because almost everyday, my teachers always have me write something even if it's just a little paragraph. I have improved my whole paragraph as a whole, I know it's still not perfect and it will always need improvements, but nothing never is perfect. I think my paragraph has come quite a ways since the beginning of the year. The 6+1 traits, is one thing every person should know about, we can make stories and assignments improve by a long shot.

  7. I've improved my uniform paragraph by taking out all first person words and redoing the sentence the word was taken out of without messing up and having to completely change the sentence. I've also added all the sentence types into the paragraph. So far this year I have learned nothing new though I hope I learn something new later throughout the semester.

  8. I have learned to annnotate the right way and to look into my reading harder. Also, many ways to start a paragraph. With my uniform paragraph I have improved with my linking verb usage and the different types of sentences, like complex sentences. I have learned the traits like to create an image in your mind of the story your reading to understand it. To write your papers not broad, but specific and precise. The stories in the blue book were very interesting and different and I learned a lot of analyzing the text to find trifles and foreshadowing. In the grammar packet I reviewed the parts of speech.

  9. One of the biggest things that I changed was my topic sentence. Once I read my topic sentence and other peoples topic sentences I realized there was a lot of things that I could change. Another thing I did that helped was taking out the linking verbs. There were so many different words I could have used to make my paragraph more interesting to read. It was amazing how a couple different words can change your writing.

  11. I have learned how to make a correct topic sentence. In my uniform paragraph I changed my topic sentence and took out the passive verbs by using new words or moving words around to make my paragraph flow better. I have also taken note the the six trait packet by reading aloud. I do this because I can find my own mistakes and make my paragraph will sound neater.

  13. The thing that I learned that has helped me the most is get rid of dead wood. In my school uniform paragraph I repeated myself a lot and it all started to sound the same. Getting rid of dead wood helped me to get rid of some of the unnecessary details and to replace them with good words and better details to add to my writing.

  14. I have learned various writing strategies from all of the different resources we have received. I have learned that to keep my paragraphs about one simple topic instead of many topics from the 6+1 traits packets. Another thing i have learned was how to create compound-complex sentences. Compound-Complex sentences are important because you can put a lot information in them. Another helpful tip I learned from the 6+1 traits packet was to write like you would in a letter. All of these suggestion are extremely helpful in making sentences.

  15. I've learned that more unique vocabulary can hold a reader's attention more but too much could maybe make them want to not read it. A few simple sentences here and there will break up your writing making it interesting to read. In my uniform paragraph I've created better topic and concluding sentences and modified in between them. I've added a few of each type of sentence like simple, compound, complex and compound-complex. I also took out all of the helping verbs and found other ways to say what I was trying to.

  16. This semester I have learned a lot about spicing up my writing with a few different techniques. Ask yourself 'what do you mean by that?' after every sentence. And don't get bored with your writing, stay with it. Have a lot of voice with your writing. In my uniform paragraph I have improved some weak sentences and made my topic sentence more exciting and in depth.

  20. In this semester I have learned in English to do many impotent things in my writing. In my Uniform paragraph, I put a simple, compound, complex, and compound complex to improve my writing. All theses sentences helped my paragraph improve on persuading people about uniforms. Grammar, revisions, technology, sentence types, topic sentences and more helped so much in my uniform paragraph. I had spelling errors, grammar problems, and lack of information. I have fixed my paragraph which made my paragraph much better.
